To work as a professional learning community so that all students will achieve personal success in their learning, becoming responsible and productive citizens.
Collective Commitments
In order to achieve the shared vision of our school, Roselawn High School has made the following collective commitments:
- I will engage in the PLC process to improve student learning & achievement
- I will foster a positive school culture.
- I will ensure an engaging classroom environment by using a variety of instructional strategies to promote success in learning with the focus on student learning.
- I will teach the essential standards of our agreed-upon curriculum
- I will use evidence of student learning to inform and improve my practice and to better meet the needs of individual students.
- I will apply the use of agreed-upon essential writing conventions to support student learning
School-Wide Goals
1. Improve student achievement in language arts as measured by performance on local, district and state assessments.
2. Improve student achievement in math as measured by performance on local, district, and state assessments.
3. Increase daily student attendance and decrease suspension rates.
4. Increase graduation rates for 4 year graduates and ensure 5 year students graduate from high school.
5. Ensure students are learning the essential standards and skills needed to be prepared for vocational training and college.
